The Hey Birthday Chick Bundle is sooooo cute! I had fun doodling on this card.
- Paper Cuts–
- Basic White Thick Card Stock: 8-1/2 X 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
- Basic White Card Stock: 4 X 5-1/4, and scrap for the chicken
- Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper: 3 X 3 **See the Tips and Tricks section for other paper options.
I cut the pieces per the list above.

Cut a 2-3/4 inch circle out of the card front using the Layering Circles Dies. I cut it as shown–slightly off the edge of the paper.

I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner of the card front using Memento Black Ink. For the chicken, I stamped it on a scrap of Basic White Card Stock and colored it using Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Soft Succulent and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut it out using the Birthday Chicks Dies.

I used the card front as a guide to adhere the Designer Series Paper to the card where the circle was cut out.

I adhered the card front to the card base using Dimensionals. I cut the balloon string in the middle. I then adhered the chicken on the designer series paper so that the balloon string is just under the edge of the circle. I adhered the balloon so that the string lines up with the other cut end on the card front.

I used a black pen to draw around the circle as shown. I added 3 Elegant Faceted Gems to the card front. Don’t forget to to stamp the envelope!
Tips and Tricks: Any plaid, polka dot or striped paper can be used, just coordinate the balloon color with the paper.
