The Merry Moose stamp set is a really cute stamp set that is bundled with the Moose Punch. This card has a lot of layers blend together for a great look. I cased another demonstrator’s card but removed a couple of layers (believe it or not).

I will just list the cuts needed to make this card since there are so many. Cut very carefully since the pieces are very close in size.

  1. Early Espresso card stock: 5-1/2 X 8-1/2, 2-3/8 X 2-1/8, 4-1/8 X 2-7/8, 7/8X 5-3/8, 1/2 X 3-1/2
  2. Crumb Cake card stock: 4-1/8 X 5-3/8, 2-1/4 X 2
  3. Very Vanilla card stock: 4-1/8 X 5-3/8
  4. Copper Foil: 4 X 2-3/4 and a scrap to punch a moose out of
  5. Gold Foil: 1-3/4 X 4-1/4, 3/4 X4-1/2

The first step to create this card is to splatter Early Espresso ink onto the Crumb Cake card stock pieces using one of the Water Painters. Allow to dry thoroughly!

The next step is to emboss the large copper piece of foil with the Evergreen Embossing Folder. Adhere the foil onto the Early Espresso mat. Adhere the small piece of Crumb Cake on it’s mat. Be careful to adhere these pieces straight since the mats only show by 1/16 of an inch.

Die cut the Gold Foil strip using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies as shown above. When you put this assembly in your die cutting machine make sure that you insert the die end first and only let it roll over the foil minimally. The plates can leave marks on the foil.

Punch out a moose from the scrap of Copper Foil. Emboss the 1/2 inch strip of Early Espresso card stock with the sentiment of choice using Gold Embossing Powder. Adhere the Gold strip to the Early Espresso card stock strip as shown above.

Adhere the embossed Copper Foil assembly to the Crumb Cake card front. The adhere the Early Espresso strip to the card front as shown above.

Adhere the Gold Foil banner to the card front as shown. Then add the small Crumb Cake matted piece to the card front.

Adhere the Copper Foil moose to the card front then add the sentiment as shown, Adhere the card front on the Early Espresso card base. Adhere the Very Vanilla liner to the inside of the card. Decorate a Very Vanilla envelope as desired.

Tips and Tricks: When splattering the Crumb Cake card stock pieces, I squeezed the Early Espresso ink pad until there is ink on the lid and then opened it. I filled a Water Painter with water. I picked up some ink from the inside of the lid then splattered it on my card pieces. If you hit it on your left index finger over your card you will splatter less of your table.
