It’s that time of year again! The calendar says August but it’s time to make Christmas cards! My first card of the season is made with the Great Tidings stamp set. It can be bought in a bundle with the Wise Men Tidings Dies.
- Paper Cuts–
- Night of Navy Card Stock: 11 X 4-1/4 scored at 5-1/2
- In Good Taste Designer Series Paper: 5-1/4 X 1-1/2 torn along the long edge
- Basic White Card Stock: 4 X 5-1/4, 3/4 X 2 and scraps for the wise men
- Gold Foil: 1 X 2-1/4
I cut the pieces per the list above.

I cut out a piece of the Night of Navy card measuring 2 X 5-1/2 from the card front as shown. I used this scrap to cut a mat for the sentiment measuring 7/8 X 2-1/8. I used Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder to emboss the 3 wise men. I cut them out using the Wise Men Tidings Dies. I colored the robes of the Wise men using the Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Night of Navy watercolor pencils from the Watercolor Pencil Assortment #2 and a Blender Pen.

For the sentiment I stamped it using Night of Navy Ink on the strip of Basic White card stock. I adhered the layers of mats together.

For the inside of the card, I used a large Post-it note to mask off the bottom 2 inches of the Basic White card stock. I used a Blending Brush to blend Night of Navy, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight Ink as shown. I made the sun using a mask made from a scrap of paper with a 3/4 inch hole punched in it.

I adhered the sentiment assembly to the blended card stock using dimensionals. I adhered the card stock to the inside of the card.
For the final assembly I adhered the piece of In Good Taste Designer series paper to the card front. I adhered the wise men to the card front using dimensionals. (Be careful to only put dimensionals on the middle and bottom of the wise men, not their heads.) Don’t forget to decorate the envelope!

Nina, your Magi card is magnificent! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity.
