I used the Fine Art Floral Suite to create this card. The pictures of this card do not do it justice! This suite is fabulous!

• Paper Cuts–
• Basic White Thick Card Stock: 5-1/2 X 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
• Basic White Card Stock: scraps for flowers and sentiment
• Poppy Parade Card Stock: 4 X 5-1/4, 1/2 X 1-7/8
• Golden Garden Designer Series Acetate: 3-3/4 X 5
• Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4 X 5

I cut the pieces per the list above. I made sure that I used the same section of both of the designer series papers since the acetate lines up with the printed paper. I stamped the sentiment with Poppy Parade Ink and cut it out using the Floral Gallery Dies. I adhered it to the strip of Poppy Parade Card Stock. I stamped the stem of the flower with Old Olive Ink on Basic White Card Stock and cut it out using the Floral Gallery Dies. For the flower, I stamped the background using Poppy Parade Ink on Basic white Card Stock. I then used Heat and Stick Powder and Gilded Leafing Embellishment to finish the flower. See the “Tips and Tricks” section below for instruction on how to use the Gilded Leafing Embellishment. I cut out the flower using the Floral Gallery Dies.

The acetate has a protective layer of plastic on it. To remove this I use a piece of tape and put it on the corner of the piece and then peel the tape back removing the layer of plastic. To assemble this card the trick is to not see the adhesive that holds the acetate to the designer series paper. I adhered the flower and the sentiment assembly to the acetate using Dimensionals. I used Glue Dots under the flower and the sentiment to adhere the acetate to the designer series paper. I then adhered the entire assembly to the Poppy Parade mat and then to the Basic White card. Don’t forget to decorate the envelope.

• Tips and Tricks:
• The edges of the dimensionals can be cut with scissors into strips to use under the stem of the flower.
• Using the Gilded Leafing Embellishment is similar to heat embossing. Before I started I poured the Gilded Leafing Embellishment into a plastic shoe box and fluffed it. I used a Versamark Pad to apply the adhesive to the paper. Then I poured the Heat and Stick powder on the area that I used Versamark. I tapped off the excess powder and heated it using a Heat Tool until it is clear and shinny. I turned the paper upside down in the Gilded Leafing Embellishment. I waited for the heat and stick powder to cool a bit. I rubbed off the excess gilding back into the container. Lastly, I heated the gilding with the heat tool to set it on the paper.
