Dragonfly Garden Card #1

The Dandy Garden Suite is so versatile! I used the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set to make this card.

Cut pieces per above list. I punched a sentiment piece from the Basic White Card Stock and a mat from Bumblebee Card Stock using the Timeless Label Punch. I stamped the dragonfly using Blackberry Bliss Ink and punch it out using the Dragonflies Punch. The dragonfly can be colored using the Light Blackberry Bliss Blends Markers or see the Tips and Tricks section at the bottom of the blog for a sparkly option.

Score the Mossy Meadow pieces at 1 inch from the edge on the 5-1/4 side.

I stamped the sentiment using Mossy Meadow Ink. This sentiment is from the Here’s a Card Stamp Set. I cut the mat in half and adhered one half to the back of the sentiment so it sticks out about 1/8th of an inch. Repeat for the other side.

To assemble the card front, I taped the two pieces of Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper together from the back. I then adhered the Vellum Strip to the card front over the seam. I added the 1/2 inch piece of Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. I used scissors to cut the end in a “V”. I then adhered the sentiment assembly using dimensionals to the card front. I added a bow using Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim.

For the final assemble, I punched another white dragonfly. I adhered the strip of window sheet to the back of the colored dragonfly. I adhered the white dragonfly to the back of this assembly. I put Tear and Tape adhesive on one of the flaps of the mossy meadow pieces. I placed the dragonfly in the card and adhere it to the Tear and Tape. (Make sure it is completely inside the card when closed.) I adhered the other piece of Mossy Meadow Card Stock as shown. I finished the inside of the card by adhering the liner and a piece of Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card. I stamped the envelope too.

Tips and Tricks: For a sparkly dragonfly, stamp it using Blackberry Bliss Ink and put a small amount of ink on a block. I then used Wink of Stella to pick up ink from the block and color the dragonfly. Clean off any ink from the tip when finished.
