The Playful Pets Suite is a fantastic collection for any pet lover! Unfortunately I had to make a sympathy card for a friend who lost her dog.

• Paper Cuts–
• Basic Black Card Stock: 5-1/2 X 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4, 1 X 3
• Basic White Card Stock: 3-3/4 X 5, 4-1/4 X 3 cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies and scraps for the dog
• Real Red Card Stock: 4 X 5-1/4
• Playful Pets Designer Series Paper: 4 X 5-1/4 and 3 X 4-1/2

I stamped the dog with Memento Black Ink. I colored him with Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends Markers (or any color you desire). I die cut him out using the Pets Dies. I punched a heart out of the red mat using one of the punches from the Heart Punch Pack. Punch it on one end away from the edge as far as possible. I die cut the dog feet out of the heart using the Pets Dies. Lastly, I embossed the sentiment on the black piece using White Embossing Powder.

I die cut more feet out of the white liner.

For the inside of the card I adhered the Basic White liner to the Real Red Mat making sure that the heart was on the other end of the mat.

To assemble the card front, I adhered the dark Designer Series Paper to the mat. I added the Basic White mat on top. I tied a bow around the card front using the red ribbon from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack. I adhered the dog to the Basic White mat. I then adhered the sentiment and the heart to the card front using Dimensionals. Decorate the envelope as desired.
