Darling Donkeys Card #1

One of my favorite new stamp sets is Darling Donkeys. It can be earned free with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration. For this card I used a Thick Basic White card base cut to 8-1/2 X 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4. I added a mat of Real Red card stock cut to 4 X 5-1/4. The card front is Crumb Cake card stock cut to 3-7/8 X 5-1/8. I used scraps of Basic White card stock to cut 3 circles using the Layering Circles Dies. I used scraps of Real Red card stock to cut 3 scalloped circles to use as mats for the white circle. For the sentiment I used a 1/2 inch strip of Basic White card stock and a 3/4 inch strip of Real Red card stock.

For the donkeys I stamped the 3 donkey heads using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on the three Basic White circles. I colored them using Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Light Flirty Flamingo, Dark Granny Apple Green and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the Happy Valentine’s Day from the A Wish For Every Season stamp set on the strip of Basic White using Real Red Ink. I embossed the Crumb Cake card stock using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.

To assemble this card I adhered the donkey circles to the Real Red mats. I adhered the sentiment to the Real Red mat. I used Dimensionals to adhered the sentiment to the Crumb Cake card front. I then used Dimensionals to adhere the donkeys arranged on the rest of the card front. I then adhered the card front assembly to the Real Red mat. I then adhered the entire card front assembly to the Basic White card body. I stamped the envelope and the inside of the card using one of the donkeys.

Tips and Tricks: Use the center of the mats to cut out pieces that you need for the rest of the card. It will save card stock!
