Peaceful Nativity #4

The Peaceful Nativity stamp set is a wonderful set. For this card I cut a card base of Crumb Cake card stock to 5-1/2 X 8-1/2 and scored it at 4-1/4. I cut Night of Navy card stock to 5-1/4 X 4. I used Very Vanilla card stock scraps to cut out Mary, Joseph and the animals. I used a scrap of Crumb Cake card stock for the stable. I also used Soft Suede card stock to cut to 1 X 5-1/4 and for the trunks of the trees. I used a scraps of Mossy Meadow card stock for the tops of the trees. Lastly, I cut a Very Vanilla card stock liner to 4 X 5-1/4.

I stamped the stable using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake card stock. I colored the stable using Watercolor Pencils and cut it out using the Nativity Dies. I also cut out the back of the stable using the Nativity Dies.

I stamped Mary, Joseph, the sheep and the donkey on Very Vanilla card stock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad. Color the pieces using Watercolor Pencils.

I cut the top of the trees out of Mossy Meadow card stock. I cut the trunks of the trees out of Soft Suede card stock. When I put the trees together, I trimmed the top of the tree but kept the the extra tab on the trunk of the tree. I glued the pieces together using a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

I adhered the strip of Soft Suede card stock to the Night of Navy card stock as shown. I then adhered 3 approximately 1/2 inch pieces of Tear and Tape. I adhered 5 pieces of Braided Linen Trim to these strips. The trim can be frayed as desired.

For the back of the stable I used 2 Glue Dots, one on the top and one on the bottom in the center and centered the piece on the card front. This allowed me to place the palm trees under the sides of the stable and hide their trunks. I then glued the back of the stable to the card front.

For the final assembly, I adhered the front of the stable over the back of the stable using Mini Dimensionals. I adhered the gold star using Mini Dimensionals to the card front. I adhered Mary, Joseph and the animals using mini dimensionals. Next, I adhered the card front to the card base. Lastly, I adhered the Very Vanilla liner to the inside of the card.

Tips and Tricks: Use the edge of the dimensionals sheet cut into strips for the sides of the stable.
