Peaceful Nativity #3

The Peaceful Nativity stamp set can be used to make cards in a variety of styles. This card has a rustic style. I cut Night of Navy card stock to 5-1/2 X 8-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4. I cut one piece of Very Vanilla card stock to 4 X 5-1/4. I cut one piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to 4 X 5-1/4. I used a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock for the stable.

On the watercolor paper, I used the wide Water Painter and Night of Navy ink to color the background. Let it dry thoroughly!

Cut a gold foil star using the Nativity Dies. I stamped the stable using Momento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock. I colored the stable using Watercolor Pencils and cut it out using the Nativity Dies. Tie a double strand bow on one side of the stable with Linen Thread.

When the Watercolor paper is dry, emboss the sentiments from the Peaceful Nativity using White Embossing Powder.

For the final assembly, adhere the stable to the watercolor paper over the sentiments using dimensionals. Adhere the gold star using mini dimensionals to the upper right of the card front. Next, adhere the card front to the card base. Lastly, adhere the liner to the inside of the card.

Tips and Tricks: Make sure the watercolor paper is dry before embossing on it. (I can’t say this enough!) A heat tool can be used to dry it. Also, use the edge of the dimensionals sheet cut into strips for the sides of the stable.
